The Department of Trade and Industry’s CITEM or the Center for International Trade Exhibitions and Missions has successfully staged the country’ Food Expo at the World Trade Center.
The International Food Exhibition or IFEX Philippines, Asia’s ethnic food and ingredient show welcomed food buyers and enthusiasts for its 11th edition which happened at the World Trade Center in Pasay City. IFEX Philippines is the country’s biggest export – oriented food show and one of the official trade events of the 30th ASEAN summit. Under the theme “Taste ASEAN” IFEX Philippines gathered over 700 international and local food companies to demonstrate different Asian flavours, product offerings and food innovation. IFEX Philippines had four major exhibition halls namely; the Food Philippines Hall, International Hall, Food Artisans Village and the Market Place.
The Food Philippines featured top and emerging Philippine exporters and business support organizations in the food industry. There were also offerings of the latest products from the Philippines leading and promising brands. IFEX Philippines was organized in partnership with the Department of Agriculture, through its Agribusiness and Marketing Assistance Service and the ASEAN Committee on Business and Investment Promotion which is chaired by the DTI.
